笛卡尔通过对一切事物的怀疑，推导出只有“怀疑”本身是毋庸置疑的。 以及，“我”是不完满的，人们无法从不完满的事物——“我”推导出完满的事物，因此让神——这一人们思想中完满的存在不证自明，进而为天赋观念提供合理性，然而对于“神”具体指向什么却模糊不清。 正如该作品中，主人公从怀疑出发，以发现“神”、甚至成为“神”佯装收尾，实则以多重空间的嵌套暗示读者：这当然地不是最终的“神”，对于神的具体指向也当然地没有确切答案。从另一个角度也能看出这点。本作仅以数据交换作为“神”与“人”的分界线，甚至通过数据传输“人”也能变成“神”，这实际上否定了“神”与“人”的差异，也消弭了“神”的丰富内涵。 如果编剧能通过对高低维度世界的差异性刻画，表达他对于“神是什么”的见解，也许，能为这部美味的作品再增添些许浪漫风味。
